Big Data Architect

Seeking a Big Data Architect to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role will be working as a Hadoop data architect with a data team, working with Hortonworks, Apache Spark and more. The candidate will be a key team member to help drive the project to success with the client.

What You'll Do

Big Data Architect at Sogeti you will have theopportunity to:

• Lead teams and have accountability for the overall architecture and design of comprehensive solutions of high-impact Big Data projects.
• Lead data architecture using Hadoop, Hortonworks, Apache Spark, ETL experience a plus, Informatica.
• Partner with key team members (e.g. project managers, business analysts, etc.) to create well-defined solutions that are aligned to the client's IT Strategy and leverage common solutions and services, to meet key project goals.
• Develop the business case and ROI for DW/BI and get buy-in from the senior management.
• Provide consulting and work with peers to conduct Solutions Architecture Reviews regularly throughout the development life-cycle.
• Provide input into key aspects of the business case and work effort for both functional & non-functional requirements.
• Assist business analysts and end users across all functional areas in identifying long-term, strategic data needs for the enterprise, defining how the data is related to the business processes, and developing a conceptual and functional model of the data.

Education required:

• Must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline. MBA or equivalent degree preferred.
