KBR is seeking a junior to mid-level data collection, analysis and visualization specialist who will be responsible for supporting the U.S. Geological Survey National Land Imaging (NLI) Program as well as other interagency groups and projects. The NLI Program develops and maintains user needs for the collection, processing, archiving, and distribution of land surface data to the U.S. Government and other users. The user needs inform the development of future land imaging satellite missions and serve as a basis to evaluate the efficacy of sensor and mission designs. The NLI Program also supports land imaging architecture studies that span the range of available observing platforms (e.g., satellites, aircraft), technology types (e.g., optical systems, radar, lidar) and data providers (e.g., government, foreign, commercial). The ideal candidate will have experience in the areas of data collection, analysis, and data visualization. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented critical thinker with excellent oral and written communication skills. The candidate will represent KBR in a variety of forums and interact regularly with senior government personnel.

The candidate will be responsible for engagement with the land imaging user community and work with visualization tools as part of an integrated set of analytical processes. A technical background with strong analytical and data management skills are desired. Additional science and/or remote sensing technology background/experience will be helpful.

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in an Earth science field, remote sensing, imaging science, engineering, data analytics or business analytics preferred

Job Duties:

• Support engagement and data collection across a range of Federal agencies
• Provide analytical support to a range of teams and customers
• Generate interactive data visualizations using Tableau™ or similar tools
• Support the development of new software and visualization tools or techniques for more efficient and robust analyses

Qualifications:

• Strong Microsoft Excel™ skills
• Data visualization using Tableau™ or similar tools
• Experience with data analysis and data management
