Duties:
- Through collaborative sessions with Market Managers, accurately capture, publish, and distribute carload prices in a timely manner using the RAPID pricing system
- Support waybill rating accuracy by collaborating with the Revenue Management team to address shipment conditions causing waybill and rating errors and taking corrective action as needed to resolve
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries regarding price authority publications
- Support efforts to create new processes and enhance existing processes for which the Price Management team is responsible
- Perform special projects, generate ad hoc reports and provide other support as directed
Additional Duties of Senior Analyst:
- Serve as publication team lead for assigned business unit(s), coordinating publication activities, including price authority renewals, mass escalations, mass maintenance and contract management
- Create and maintain shipment condition templates, as well as geography and commodity groups, in accordance with BNSF and Rate EDI Network (REN) guidelines and publication standards
- Collaborate with Marketing, Technology Services, and Price Administration Team to resolve barriers preventing timely and accurate publication of Price Authorities
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in business or systems
- Ability to interpret transportation price authorities and apply publication standards using our pricing system and tools
- Strong planning, analytical, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently while working within stringent deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office products and Data Warehouse
- Strong, team-based collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in marketing, accounting, or business management)
- Familiarity with pricing (RAPID/RPMS, PAS, SCRS) and revenue (TSS, RAS & ISA) systems and processes
- Knowledge of Revenue Pipeline, Waybill, Operations, and/or Reference Files
- Knowledge of rail industry shipment conditions
