We are seeking a skilled Data Tech Lead to join our team, bringing expertise in SQL, Snowflake and AWS data technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and be comfortable advising on database technologies within AWS. A background in working with AWS-based databases and data lakes, reverse-engineering external data models, and Python programming is highly desirable.
Required Skills & Experience:
- A good working knowledge of SQL and Snowflake
- Experience working with AWS data technologies
- Good level of communication both written and spoken
Key responsibilities & duties include:
- Advising on database technologies in AWS
- Exploring and understanding relational data, to advise on what is possible
- Translating business requirements for data into code
- Writing or assisting others to write complicated SQL queries joining multiple tables
Desirable Skills:
- Have worked on databases / data lakes based in AWS
- Reverse-engineering external data models
- Familiarity with ingesting data as JSON and outputting CSV
- Knowledge of Python or another programming language
- Desirable certifications: AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty (DAS-C01), AWS Certified Database – Specialty (DBS-C01)
