The Role

Summary

As a Data Strategy Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining, leading, and executing the company-wide data strategy to unlock business value, improve product capabilities, and drive data-driven decision-making. Working at the intersection of product, data engineering, analytics, and compliance, you will develop a data product roadmap that enhances operational efficiency, product innovation, and market competitiveness.

This is a highly collaborative, strategic role for a hands-on product leader who understands both the business potential of data and the operational requirements of managing it effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define data strategy roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals, product initiatives, and market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering, Data Science, and Business teams to identify, prioritize, and deliver data-driven features, platforms, and services.
  • Translate business and product needs into clear data product requirements, user stories, and actionable plans.
  • Develop a framework for data governance, privacy, and security alignment, collaborating closely with Legal, Security, and Compliance teams.
  • Manage and evolve data product backlogs (internal APIs, scoring models, reporting capabilities, etc.) ensuring delivery through agile practices.
  • Define and track data KPIs and business value metrics — measuring the impact of data initiatives on product performance and business outcomes.
  • Lead initiatives around data quality, metadata management, and data accessibility for internal and external product use cases.
  • Support strategic initiatives around data monetization opportunities, data partnerships, and ecosystem integrations.
  • Evangelize a data-driven culture across the organization through training, documentation, and collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting data management and strategy.

Essential Requirements

  • University degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management or Data Product roles, ideally within telecom, fraud prevention, or cloud communications.
  • Proven experience developing and executing data strategy roadmaps.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and security best practices.
  • Experience working with data platforms, APIs, reporting tools, and analytics environments.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, backlog management, and cross-functional project delivery.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills — able to translate business needs into data capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable presenting to leadership and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence company strategy and data product vision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with RESTful APIs, data pipelines, data lakes, or cloud-based data platforms.
  • Prior involvement in data monetization initiatives or third-party data partnerships.
  • Knowledge of telecom/fraud detection/identity verification data structures and use cases.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working in telecom, fraud prevention, or cloud communications industries.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and data-driven product development.
  • Familiarity with data engineering concepts (ETL, data lakes, data warehouses, and streaming data architectures).
  • Hands-on experience with API product management and developer-facing data services.
  • Proficiency in SQL or experience querying and working with large datasets.
  • Exposure to metadata management, data lineage, and catalog tools.
  • Prior involvement in data monetization initiatives or commercializing data products.
  • Understanding of identity verification, fraud scoring, and risk data models.
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional distributed teams in a global tech environment.

We are offering

  • Competitive € salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth in a dynamic, data-driven environment.
  • A collaborative, innovative, and forward-thinking work culture.
  • The chance to have a direct impact on our product development and strategic data initiatives.
