How You'll Shape What's Possible:
You will employ strong oral and written communication skills and a structured, methodical approach to problem solving to provide first line support to managed services clients. You have sound knowledge service desk and incident management. You will perform a broad range of work in a variety of technologies and environments, sometimes complex and non-routine. You can plan, schedule, and monitor your own work within short time horizons with only routine direction.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Contribute to the on-going development of the Managed Support function through mentoring by sharing knowledge, experience and expertise with other team member
- Designing and developing enhancements to client DW/BI solutions using best practice methodologies
- Investigating and resolving issue
- Manage multiple clients concurrently
- Maintain records and advise relevant persons of actions taken
- Process and action appropriate and timely responses to incident report
- Provide Support Services to between 2 and 4 client
- Receive and handle requests for support following agreed procedures
- Respond to common requests for support by providing information to enable resolution and promptly escalate unresolved calls as appropriate
- Support collation and generation of monthly client reporting
- Work collaboratively with other team
- Work on a roster that will include some weekend activities
The Knowledge You Bring:
- Tertiary qualification in IT-related subject, or relevant work experience
- 1+ years experience working in teams to provide IT Support to clients
- 1+ years hands-on experience in ETL and BI tools such as Microsoft (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS). Report development/support using Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Experience using cloud-based tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, DBT, Matillion or other
- Basic SQL Scripting Skill
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- An advantage: experience in Azure administration or development/support using Azure functions.
- Able to work as part of on-call rotation
