- Design, implement, and manage data protection and security controls across systems and applications.
- Monitor, detect, and respond to data security incidents and breaches.
- Conduct data classification, risk assessments, and vulnerability analysis.
- Implement and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or relevant local regulations).
- Collaborate with IT, cloud, and application teams to secure databases, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Perform security audits, access reviews, and policy enforcement.
- Support encryption strategies for data at rest, in transit, and in use.
- Document and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
- Provide guidance on secure coding and data handling best practices.
Gualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in data security / information security roles.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Data security concepts (encryption, masking, tokenization)
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Network security fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with:
- DLP tools (Symantec, McAfee, Microsoft Purview, etc.)
- SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel)
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Familiarity with database security (SQL, NoSQL).
- Experience with incident response and threat analysis.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
