About Position 

Your role: as a Senior Data Scientist in the team, you'll work on data science projects related to marketing, UX, product design, and financial planning, focused on helping the company make the right product improvements and strategic decisions for our customers and business bottom line. Your projects will make a direct impact, touching Paidy's consumers and merchants, driving business decisions for the future strategic direction of Paidy.

Your role involves frequently consulting with business owners and executive team to understand a project/topic quickly, then proposing and delivering a solution to them and do so in a way that adds/enhances our department's assets in terms of feature engineering pipelines, predictive models, custom data marts, simulation/forecasting tools/algorithms, Scala Spark packages, and Looker model changes. Skills and Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist at technology, marketing, media, or entertainment companies solving related business problems as described above
• Experience extracting insights and engineering features from large datasets (clickstream data, app activity data, streaming service logs) using big data frameworks like Spark, Hive, Athena, BigQuery
• Experience working with a BI tool like Looker, Tableau. Looker dashboards are one of the main tools we use to deliver data science solutions.
• Experience developing predictive models applied to real-world business problems in technology industry; experience working with production ML pipelines with a managed service like Sagemaker is a plus
• Good foundational skills with statistics, experience designing, and evaluating experiments that aim to cause behavior change on some group of customers/users
• Experience building ETL pipelines with a job orchestration tool like Prefect, Airflow, Argo
• Experienced working with github and a staging-production development environment for ETL and ML pipelines
• Excellent command of SQL (understanding how to write performant queries on big partitioned tables) and Python
