Position Summary
DarkStar Intelligence, LLC is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Data Scientist to join our team as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). The ideal candidate will possess a deep and comprehensive understanding of data science and analytics, specifically within federal government environments. This role demands expertise in leveraging advanced data analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques to deliver actionable insights and strategic solutions to complex, data-driven challenges.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced data analysis, predictive analytics, and statistical modeling techniques to address complex problems, driving value and enhancing organizational performance.
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, along with libraries like pandas, NumPy, or TensorFlow, to manipulate vast datasets and build scalable, efficient models.
- Design and create impactful visualizations of analytical insights using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js, to support senior leadership decision-making and strategy.
- Collaborate extensively with key stakeholders across the organization, delivering data-driven solutions tailored to meet specific operational and strategic objectives.
- Serve as a thought leader in the field of data science, continuously refining and enhancing strategies by staying current with the latest industry trends, tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current TS/SCI and CI Polygraph.
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 8 to 10 years of experience in data science, analytics, or related fields, with a focus on applications within federal government environments.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and expertise with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow).
- Demonstrated mastery of statistical and machine learning techniques, including regression, clustering, and classification algorithms.
- Extensive experience in data visualization, with proficiency in using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
- Proven leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide teams and work with senior stakeholders across complex projects.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of delivering actionable insights in high-stakes environments.
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Data Scientist (CDS) or Professional Data Engineer (PDE), are highly desirable.
Salary Range:
$200,000 - $260,000
This pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of specific compensation or salary.
