Data Analyst

Your Role

We are looking for a skilled and curious Data Analyst with industry experience in applying a variety of machine learning solutions to real-world large-scale data, , ability to perform complex data analyses and passion to deliver best in class data science solutions for challenging problems. Healthcare or life science background is a plus.

A Day in the Life

• Be an expert in the all things data - cleaning, exploring, analyzing, reporting, visualizing.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders on data based research projects.
• Conduct in-depth data investigations to assess and address quality, completeness, and usability of multi-modal real world data
• Own the delivery of high quality analytics grade data solutions.
• Publish reproducible reports and develop applications to Posit Connect and/or Github for company-wide consumption
• Contribute functions, algorithms, and business rules to R packages and Github repositories to increase efficiency and reproducibility of analyses

What You Need

• Bachelors degree in data science, AI/ML, statistics or related quantitative discipline (Advanced degree preferred)
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in epidemiological research, life sciences, and/or RWD analysis
• Proficiency with statistical modeling methods, including time-to-event analysis (TTE), and methodology expertise with observational datasets
• Strong proficiency in querying databases with SQL
• Strong proficiency in programming languages (R preferred)
• Experience or familiarity with medical coding sets (e.g. HCPCS, ICD, CPT, SNOMED, LOINC, and NDC)
• Experience working with EHR, claims, imaging, labs and other RWD is a plus
• Proactive and enjoys the data discovery process, digging deep and getting hands-on with data
• Has an inquisitive mindset to constantly test assumptions and effectively communicate findings to both a technical and non-technical audience
