Job Description:
Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented Data Scientist to join our innovative team! In this role, you will contribute to the development, integration, analysis, and visualization of complex data supporting Department of Defense (DoD) and mission-critical environments. You will leverage statistical analysis, data mining, programming, business intelligence, and data visualization techniques to transform structured and unstructured data into actionable insights. This position supports the entire data lifecycle, including ingestion, extraction, transformation, validation, analysis, visualization, and reporting.
What You'll Be Doing:
Collect, ingest, process, transform, and analyze structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
Develop Python scripts and analytical workflows for end-to-end data analysis.
Create and execute SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
Design and maintain ETL processes to support enterprise data warehouse environments.
Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, correlations, anomalies, and actionable insights.
Perform descriptive, inferential, and predictive analyses.
Research, develop, evaluate, and refine statistical models for data analysis.
Develop interactive dashboards, visualizations, reports, and analytical products.
Build Power BI or comparable BI solutions to translate complex datasets into mission-relevant information.
Evaluate and improve data quality by identifying discrepancies, missing information, inconsistencies, and anomalies.
Automate data-processing and analytical tasks to increase efficiency.
Integrate data from enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and other authoritative sources.
Develop scalable and repeatable data integration solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify mission requirements, key performance indicators, analytical questions, and desired outcomes.
Translate mission and operational requirements into technical data requirements and analytical methodologies.
Communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Develop technical documentation describing data sources, methodologies, pipelines, models, and products.
Support testing and validation of analytical products and data solutions.
Assist with implementation and sustainment of enterprise data and analytics capabilities.
