We are looking for a Data Scientist to support Technical Services LATAM by transforming laboratory, field and customer data into actionable insights. This role strengthens data-driven decision-making through advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and predictive tools that improve experiment efficiency, troubleshooting, and productivity. This position supports capability‑building by training the team on new digital tools and best practices. Additionally, it contributes to managing the solution innovation pipeline supporting the success of the regional growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large experimental datasets and generate clear insights
- Build and validate predictive models and statistical tools (DoE, regression, multivariate analysis)
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to support TS decision-making
- Clean, structure, and manage scientific data for analysis and modeling
- Collaborate with TS specialists to translate challenges into analytical solutions
- Work with global digital/data teams to deploy tools and share best practices
- Apply statistical techniques (DoE, hypothesis testing, regression, experimental design).
- Support the development of predictive models and machine learning approaches for TS applications.
- Provide actionable insights that improve experiment planning, resource allocation, and business value generation.
- Increase the penetration and adoption of digital and AI tools across TS Planetary Health LATAM.
- Communicate findings clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, or similar
- Strong skills in Python or R, statistics, and machine learning
- Experience working with scientific or experimental datasets
- Knowledge of SQL, data visualization, and analytical tools
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Benchling or similar systems
- Data governance knowledge
- ML frameworks (scikit‑learn, TensorFlow)
- Cloud/ETL familiarity
- Exposure to big data architectures
- Experience training users or supporting digital adoption
- Background in industrial biotechnology or Technical Service
