As a Full Stack Java/React Developer - Data Scientist Senior Associate in Consumer and Community Banking Operations at JPMorganChase, you will be an integral part of an agile team that enhances, builds, and delivers trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you will deliver high-quality features and solutions across multiple technical areas, bridging full-stack engineering with data-driven insights, while developing a strong understanding of the business problems you're solving.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Java, SpringBoot, Microservices, and React Micro frontends
- Build and deploy cloud-based applications on AWS, specifically utilizing AWS ECS
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment using DevOps practices
- Participate in code reviews, providing and incorporating constructive feedback to maintain engineering standards
- Partner with designers, product owners, and back-end engineers to create user-friendly, visually appealing, and performance-optimized interfaces
- Proactively identify and build solutions beyond standard feature delivery, such as data pipelines, integrations, and tooling that improve team capability and operational efficiency
- Apply CI/CD and DevOps best practices to streamline build, test, and deployment processes
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, contributing to system reliability and operational stability

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience
- Hands-on experience with Java, SpringBoot, Microservices, React frontends, and AWS ECS
- Ability to work effectively within a team while demonstrating growing independence in problem-solving and delivery
- Solid communication skills and ability to work effectively with individuals across the globe
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to operate beyond traditional role boundaries, comfortable navigating ambiguity and learning new domains quickly
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including tools like Jenkins and Spinnaker
- Understanding of SQL and Kafka
- Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum development environments

- Experience with data engineering in AWS, including designing pipelines that land, transform, and load data using services like S3, Glue, Lambda, and Aurora
- Familiarity with database and schema design, management, and optimization in relational databases such as Aurora/PostgreSQL
- Ability to engage directly with business stakeholders, understand operational context, and translate business needs into technical solutions without heavy product management support
- Experience in working with diverse teams and contributing to an inclusive work environment
- Knowledge of banking operations and data
- Understanding of AI principles with practical experience in incorporating AI-driven solutions into user interfaces
- Familiarity with agentic frameworks including prompting, workflows, tools along with experience with Python
