The Markets Pricing team plays a critical role in supporting the Digital & Securities Markets business by crafting and driving commercial strategies across the product lifecycle—including ideation, development, launch, and ongoing management. The team also owns the development of analytics to inform and improve these strategies.
This role will work closely with senior business leaders and product development teams to design and implement a balanced and competitive commercial policy. It offers a direct opportunity to influence the commercial performance of the division.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Markets Pricing, the Data Scientist (Senior Associate) will be instrumental in building and maintaining a robust analytical framework passionate about commercial performance and pricing strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Creating and evolving pricing structures in support of business and commercial objectives
Analysing and assuring the competitiveness of existing pricing structures
Providing information and analysis on clients’ behaviour
Monitoring the impact of LSEG pricing initiatives on clients and market quality
Analysing competitors’ pricing initiatives
Driving increased alignment in pricing structures across Capital Markets
Effectively collaborate with business to provide high quality analysis to our stakeholders.
Proactively identify, analyse and present commercial opportunities
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Required Skills:
Communication, Collaboration and Analytical skills
Intermediate proficiency in data visualisation tool (Eg: Tableau)
Intermediate proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Prophet, scikit-learn)
Intermediate proficiency in SQL
Desired Skills:
At least 2-3 years of professional experience is desirable
Understanding of financial markets a plus
Knowledge of developing forecasting models a plus
Prior experience in Data Science and Advanced Analytics a plus
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
