Data Scientist - Linguistics and Data Modeling

We are looking for a skilled Data Scientist with expertise in linguistics and data modeling to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics, programming, and machine learning techniques, and will be able to apply this knowledge to analyze large datasets, develop predictive models, and extract insights that inform business decisions. In addition, the candidate will have a background in linguistics and the ability to understand and analyze natural language data.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze large corpuses of content to extract insights and identify patterns
• Design metadata structures, schemas, taxonomies, ontologies and semiotic models
• Develop predictive models and algorithms to solve business problems
• Work with other teams to design experiments and test hypotheses
• Develop and implement data processing pipelines to clean, transform, and enrich data
• Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to develop data-driven products and services
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and clients in a clear and concise manner
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in data science and machine learning techniques

• Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Linguistics, or related field
• Must have a strong and proven background in linguistic modeling, taxonomies, ontologies
• At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL
• Experience working with natural language data, such as text corpora and speech data
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
• Client facing experience including working with and presenting to Executive Leadership
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus

Salary range: $108-148k

Compensation will be determined based on your level of experience.
