This role will be responsible for design and deliver data science and machine learning solutions that improve security and operational decision-making. Builds pipelines and models, validates performance, and deploys analytics in a maintainable way. Leads technical solution design and guides a team through implementation. Enables higher-value automation and insight generation from enterprise telemetry and datasets.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement ML/data science solutions aligned to mission/security needs.
- Build data pipelines, feature engineering approaches, and model evaluation methods.
- Create operational analytics, visualizations, and decision-support outputs.
- Lead technical design and execution of data science workstreams.
- Support containerized deployment and scalable engineering patterns where required.
Job Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field such as: Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or Economics required.
- 5+ years in ML engineering / data science / data engineering.
- Experience designing a technical solution and leading a team through implementation.
- Experience with OOP languages (as listed).
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- A certified analytics credential as specified in the labor category table.
- Must have at least a Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) certification.
- Must be eligible for Secret clearance.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Cybersecurity, Data, or related field.
- 5+ years professional experience working with cybersecurity and IT data.
- Strong understanding and experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Experience performing security engineering functions.
- Experience developing and modifying scripts for data parsing and automation.
- Experience mapping data schemas, mapping inheritance and Common Control Catalogs.
- Experience developing or tuning risk scoring.
- Experience working with OSCAL and transforming legacy data into OSCAL-compliant formats.
- Experience working on Federal systems.
- Experience working in AWS GovCloud.
- Experience with Cloud Service Provider solutions (IaaS, SaaS).
- Experience with SIEM and SOAR tools and capabilities.
- Familiarity with host- and network-based security technologies.
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and D3FEND frameworks.
- Ability to support high-visibility cybersecurity reporting through data visualizations and dashboards.
- Experience developing machine learning algorithms, data models, or architecture strategy for cyber defense.
- Experience performing data discovery, analysis of data exports, automated data parsing/extraction, and mapping data for migration.
- Experience discovering RMF artifacts (SSP, control artifacts, assessment trackers) in Excel/MS Word and SharePoint for migration.
- Familiarity with System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and working in an Agile environment.
- A Top Secret/Q clearance is required (candidates must be prepared to initiate the clearance process if not already held).
