This position is a hybrid role requiring employees to work from our headquarters location in Seattle, WA every Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote all other days.

As a Data Scientist II supporting the People Analytics Talent and DEI functions, you’ll use some of the most robust real estate data in the world combined with our people dataset to build tools and answer questions that drive key business decisions across the entire company.
The Role

You will become the subject matter expert on Redfin’s Talent Management data

You will become the subject matter expert on Redfin’s DEI data.

You will deliver deep analysis on Redfin People data.

You will collaborate with team members across people analytics to review R Code used to determine statistical significance and model other outcomes.

You will deliver Tableau Dashboards and ad-hoc analysis on Talent and DEI data.
Skills & Experience
-
2+ years of experience in a data science and/or data analytics role with a focus on statistical analysis with Bachelor’s degree in statistics, computer science, or a related field -OR- Doctoral degree in statistics, computer science, or a related field with strong academic publications, internships, and academic experiences.

Advanced skills in R including the ability to fluently read R code, ability to write R code, and solve problems programmatically using R.

Advanced-level statistical analysis skills including the ability to understand and decipher statistical models and recommend which statistical method to apply.

Advanced-level SQL skills including the ability to read/create objects, manipulate data, move data, and write to production.

Ability to explain complex ideas clearly to a nontechnical audience.

You don’t stop at the “What?” but hungers for the “Why?” and “What if?”

Experience with Tableau a plus but not required.

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable disclosure requirements.
Base Pay Range: $97,100.00 - 145,600.00. Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operational business needs. Depending on the position, compensation may also include commissions, bonuses, and equity.
