About the role
As a Data Science Lead at Sylndr, you will lead a team of data scientists in developing advanced analytics and machine learning models that drive business insights and decision-making. You will be responsible for guiding the team through complex projects, ensuring the integrity and quality of the data, and aligning data science initiatives with business objectives. You will be part of a multi-cultural and dynamic team that takes pride and ownership of our work and encourages positive disruption!
What You'll Do!
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Develop and implement advanced analytics and machine learning models to solve complex business problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of data used for analysis and modeling.
- Present findings and insights to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data science and machine learning.
- Oversee the deployment of machine learning models into production environments.
- Maintain documentation of data science processes and methodologies.
Who You Are!
- 4 to 5 years in a data science role, with at least 1 year in a leadership or mentoring position.
- Strong background in statistical analysis and machine learning.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with building custom deep learning models (using pytorch).
- Experience with optimization, routing and task assignment problems.
- Experience with building web API interfaces to serve Data Science model through Flask or FastAPI is a PLUS.
- Experience with Google Big Query, and Vertex API is a plus.
- Advanced SQL Experience, ability to query complex data correctly and efficiently.
- Excellent knowledge of data wrangling and preprocessing techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- A proactive and innovative mindset, with a strong attention to detail.
- Having an automotive background is a PLUS.
