WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a highly motivated Data Science Intern to join our team. This internship is ideal for graduate students (Master’s or Ph.D.) passionate about applying data science to real-world biomedical and healthcare challenges. You will contribute to projects that involve advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling to drive scientific and clinical advancements. This is an excellent opportunity to make a direct impact on improving healthcare outcomes.
Our Data Science team plays a crucial role in leveraging cutting-edge analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven solutions to drive impactful discoveries and innovations.
KEY ACTIVITIES
- Develop and implement machine learning models to analyze large-scale biological, clinical, or healthcare datasets
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and statistical modeling to extract meaningful insights
- Work on NLP, predictive analytics, and deep learning applications as relevant to project needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientists and clinicians, to translate complex problems into data-driven solutions
- Optimize algorithms and workflows to enhance model efficiency and accuracy
- Present findings through technical reports, visualizations, and presentations
MUST HAVES
- Master’s or Ph.D. candidate in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Epidemiology, or a related field
- Must be a Ph.D. candidate graduating within 18 months of the internship start date
- Proficiency in programming languages like R or Python and experience with data science libraries
- Familiarity with cloud computing is a plus
- Experience with data visualization is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively
