Topcon Healthcare is looking to offer an internship program from June 2, 2025, until August 14, 2025. This is a paid program located in the Oakland NJ office & our La Jolla CA Office.  The hours for this program are Monday – Thursday 9am – 5pm. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Clinical Science team as a Data Science Intern. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in various aspects of Data Science while working closely with our experienced healthcare professionals. We are committed to providing real work opportunities for intern candidates through hands-on experience and a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Data acquisition at THINC (Maestro, Triton, NW500, NW400, TRK-3, Tempo)

·       Managing clinical documents

·       Data entry

·       Data cleaning

·       Data transfer

·       Algorithm development and evaluation

·       Participating in ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

·       Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Clinical Science or a related field.

·       Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

·       Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·       Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Base Pay:

Expected Base Pay Range: $22.00 to $25.00 hourly based on degree level.

The base pay range included is a projected hiring range for a position, level and potential work location(s) listed.  Topcon provides the compensation range that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.
