About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Data Science Intern to join our team and help drive data-driven decision-making in the sports industry. This internship will provide hands-on experience in data analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling, working with real-world sports data.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, clean, and analyze sports-related data from various sources.
Develop and implement machine learning models to identify patterns and insights.
Assist in building predictive models for player performance, game outcomes, or fan engagement.
Create data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
Work with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and sports strategists.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in sports analytics.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib.
Familiarity with machine learning libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What We Do
Northway Sports is a family-owned powersports dealership in East Bethel, Minnesota. It sells new and pre-owned Polaris and Kawasaki ATVs, side-by-sides, snowmobiles, and motorcycles. The company also provides in-house maintenance and repair services through its service department, and sells parts, accessories, gear, and other equipment for outdoor recreation. It serves customers throughout Minnesota and nearby communities with a focus on trail and outdoor adventures.
