Job Overview
We are seeking a French-speaking Data Researcher to join our Cardiff research centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and maintaining accurate data on institutional investors through the analysis of annual reports, specialist documents, and relationship building. This role is hybrid, based in our Cardiff, Wales office.
The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and communication skills, and be organised, ambitious, and driven. This is an exciting opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic individual who wishes to work in a professional business environment, with a particular focus on French-language sources and stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Using a variety of online and public French and English sources to identify relevant information
- Analysing French and English reports and filings to extract key data
- Normalising researched data and entering it into the database
- Building and maintaining relationships with French-speaking investors to obtain proprietary data
- Identifying new data sources through the development of key contact relationships via telephone and email (including French-language communication)
- Taking responsibility for data acquisition and contributing to data development in line with business needs and priorities
Requirements
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, as well as logical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to speak French and English fluently.
- Proficient with spreadsheets, databases and MS Office.
- Able to work on your own and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
- BS degree in Finance, Economics or related field is desirable.
