The Data Reporting Analyst III, Strategic Sourcing plays a critical role in transforming sourcing data. This position contributes to reporting efforts through research, analysis, design, programming, implementation, and coordination of accurate and timely reporting systems supporting the Strategic Sourcing team. Ensures integrity of databases and programming files for departmental use via extensive division contact.

Responsibilities:

  • You will design scalable reports and frameworks that ensure accurate sourcing reporting and analysis.

  • Vet reporting requests and document requirements to ensure accuracy and transparency.

  • Develop and automate reports and dashboards in Power BI and Excel.

  • Manages the design and development of new reporting processes and assigns and trains staff to maintain processing once implemented.

  • Validate data accuracy and integrity through testing, documentation, and performance optimization.

  • Optimize performance and scale by improving query efficiency, model design, and reporting usability.

  • Support audit and compliance efforts by maintaining, traceability, and documentation of data flows.

  • Analyzes reporting needs, available data, and various methods of data retrieval to develop systems which are responsive to the needs of the department.

  • Develops and maintains production reporting capabilities and monitors the timely and accurate production and distribution of standard and ad hoc reports.

  • Manages ad hoc reporting requests and assigns to staff.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics preferred.

  • Requires a minimum of 5 (5) years' experience in financial, reporting, analytics or actuarial fields utilizing statistics and programming applications.

  • Requires experience with data related application Power BI and Excel.

  • Experience with Workday Financial and Strategic Sourcing highly preferred.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Prefer knowledge of user-oriented programming languages including Power BI.

  • Prefer knowledge of Horizon BCBSNJ products and files.

  • Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and support software in a Windows based environment, including MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Horizon BCBSNJ employees must live in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut or Delaware

Salary Range:

$79,100 - $105,945

​This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.  This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting.  Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
