Data QA Engineer

We’re looking for a Data QA Engineer to join our data engineering team, with a focus on ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and reliability across Snowflake and AWS-based data platforms.

You’ll work across cloud data lakes, pipelines, and platform components, validating transformations, verifying data flows, and contributing to automation frameworks. While this is a data-focused role, experience with automation tools like Playwright and scripting in Python will be valuable in driving quality across both data pipelines and the user-facing layers of data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute test cases to validate data pipelines and transformations in Snowflake and AWS Data Lake environments
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and integrity checks using SQL and custom scripts
• Test Python-based ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring accuracy, error handling, and performance
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks, with a focus on Playwright for UI components (e.g., dashboards, data interfaces)
• Collaborate with data engineers and platform teams to test infrastructure setup, configuration, and access control
• Log and triage defects, and support teams through resolution and release
• Contribute to QA strategies and test plans across the broader data and platform teams
  

What You Bring

• Proven experience in data-focused QA roles, ideally working with cloud-based data ecosystems
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation across large datasets
• Experience testing pipelines and scripting with Python
• Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS Data Lake services (S3, Glue, Athena), or similar platforms
• Working knowledge of test automation, including experience with Playwright or similar frameworks (e.g. Cypress, Selenium)
• Solid understanding of both backend data workflows and front-end interfaces used to access and visualise data
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
  

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with data orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines in a data engineering or QA context
• Exposure to data governance, observability, or compliance requirements
• Experience testing data APIs, dashboards, or analytics platforms

Compensation

• The maximum monthly gross salary for this position is 70 million VND. Final offers will be based on experience and alignment with the role's requirements.
