We are looking for a Data Protection Expert to help implementing the following tasks in the German branch in close collaboration with Head Quarters in Madrid.
Your Mission:
- Development and implementation of a data protection framework, ensuring the compliance of the GDPR, local data protection laws and the guidelines of the competent authorities, and promoting a culture of data protection throughout the entire organization.
- Participation in data protection consulting within the framework of inquiries from the specialist areas and cross-divisional projects of the bank and the internationally active group.
- Maintenance of records of all data processing activities of the company, conduct DPIAs, LIAs, etc.
- Review and negotiation of data protection contracts and drafting and updating the privacy and cookies policies/notices.
- Handling data protection rights of the data subjects and support on the communication with the competent supervisory authorities.
- Continual development and maintenance of responsibility in the proactive management of risks within the bank.
- Work in close collaboration with the privacy teams of Openbank HQ (Madrid).
Your profile:
- Completed studies in law or studies with a (business or IT) legal orientation and minimum of five year of professional experience
- Sound knowledge of the German legal system
- Professional experience in the financial services sector or in IT is beneficial
- Secure knowledge of common software (Microsoft Office, SharePoint)
- Structured, independent and goal-oriented working methods, hands-on mentality
- High teamwork and assertiveness
- Professional and factual communication skills with senior employees and decision-makers in the bank coupled with good presentation skills
- Willingness to take on additional tasks
- Very good knowledge of German and English, knowledge of Spanish is an adantage, but not a prerequisite
