The Job at a Glance
We're looking for a senior, hands-on Data Product Manager to be our first dedicated data PM. You’ll make our data fast, reliable, and accessible by connecting systems like BigQuery, Datadog, and Iterable into one trusted source of truth. Every team needs better data to do their best work, and you'll be the one who makes this possible.
This role is ideal for a truth seeker who loves working at the intersection of data, product, and business, and who wants to build rather than just analyze. You'll design pipelines, clean data, ship dashboards, automate manual work, and influence senior stakeholders along the way.
What You Will Do
Working within an organization created at the intersection of health care, retail and financial technology, no two days will look the same. Typical responsibilities of the role include:
- Understand business needs and produce actionable insights from data for business teams to use.
- Own the Metabase environment end to end, and set the standard for dashboards across internal and customer-facing reporting
- Design scalable data models and optimize query performance for speed and reliability.
- Create a single source of truth for KPIs used by Product, Finance, Operations, and Account Management.
- Automate recurring data pulls and eliminate manual reporting to enable scale.
- Set the cross-functional data roadmap, including stakeholder input, prioritization, and feedback.
- Monitor job health, troubleshoot issues, and partner with Engineering on fixes or schema changes.
- Manage vendor contracts, integrations, and upgrades related to analytics infrastructure.
About You
While every candidate brings a unique resume and prospective, an ideal candidate will include:
- 7+ years in analytics, data ops, or data product roles, with prior experience as the first or one of the first dedicated data hires at a scaling startup or growth stage organization.
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery and Metabase (or similar BI tools).
- Strong SQL skills and the technical depth to design data models & dashboards
- Excellent communication skills – ability to translate complex data into business insights and present to cross-functional teams
- A builder mindset - scrappy, resourceful, and eager to take ownership from day one.
- Comfort managing integrations across marketing and product analytics platforms.
- Demonstrated track record of bias toward action - you automate first, document second, and move fast
- Familiarity with modern data stacks (dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and product analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, or event tracking).
- Experience implementing data governance and access control in BI tools.
- Background operating in regulated industries (healthcare or fintech).
Other Requirements
- Travel may be required from time to time as part of the role, for company events and business needs
- evermore is a remote-first, distributed workforce. Candidates should be comfortable with, and equipped to work within, a distributed remote team, including having reliable internet access and basic home office equipment. evermore will provide a work laptop, and mouse/keyboard upon request
