This Is What Your Role Looks Like
You’ll join the central Data Platform Team, working on the foundation of Basic-Fit’s data landscape.
In a typical week, you might:
- build batch and streaming pipelines in Databricks
- continuously improving Databricks, keeping up with the latest technologies
- collaborate with analysts to improve self-service reporting
- automate day-to-day work by leveraging the power of AI
- migrate legacy pipelines to a modern Databricks platform
- optimize performance, cost, governance, and reliability
- support designing data models that are directly consumed in Power BI
Where you can make an impact
This is not a “keep-the-lights-on” role. You’ll actively shape:
- scalable data architecture (Lakeflow Connect, Databricks Apps etc.)
- AI and automation to improve data quality and usability
- self-service analytics across the business
- the future direction of our data platform
Good ideas don’t stay in slide decks here - they get built.
The team you’ll work with
You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary Data Platform Team with:
- Data Platform Engineers
- Analysts
- BI Developers
- Data Scientists
Together, you support almost every department at Basic-Fit, enabling teams to act on reliable, well-governed data.
Who Are You?
You don’t need to tick every box. You will thrive here if most of this sounds familiar:
- Hands-on experience with Databricks (around 1+ year)
- Curiosity about newest Databricks features (dashboards, apps etc.)
- Understanding of batch vs. streaming data processing
- Strong skills in SQL, PySpark, and Python
- Experience building data pipelines (e.g. with Azure Data Factory)
- Awareness of data quality, governance, and scalability
- Experience and curiosity towards AI and building agents
- Comfortable communicating in English
- Experience with PowerBI or any other reporting tool is a plus

Skills Required
