We are seeking a Data Operations Specialist to join our team and support the management, organization, and integration of data across the firm. Reporting to the Head of the Design Intelligence Group (DIG), this role will contribute to improving operational efficiency by connecting information across departments, systems, and practice areas to support better decision-making and knowledge sharing.
The position will work with a broad range of internal and project-related datasets including human resources, sustainability, project performance, business development, communications, and practice area information. The ideal candidate is curious and comfortable managing complex datasets, establishing data standards, and developing systems that improve accessibility and usability of information across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Data Management: Manage, integrate, and maintain internal datasets, including HR, sustainability, project, financial, utilization, and operational data, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reporting readiness.[SG1]
- Data Standards: Establish and maintain data standards, naming conventions, metadata structures, and documentation practices to improve consistency across systems and teams.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor data quality and identify missing, inconsistent, or duplicate information while developing processes for ongoing validation and quality control.
- Practice Area Support: Support practice areas in developing consistent project data structures, benchmark datasets, and reporting standards.
- Systems Integration: Coordinate information flow between systems including HR platforms, Enterprise resource planning (ERM) systems, project management tools, BIM environments, and reporting platforms.
- Knowledge Management: Identify, organize, and connect institutional knowledge and data across systems, teams, and project archives, making information more accessible and actionable. Collaborate with the Communications Knowledge Management team to leverage these resources in support of firm communications.
- Reporting & Analytics: Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that support leadership and project teams with staffing, sustainability, business, and project-related metrics.
- Automation & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and support automation efforts that reduce repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Human Resources, Sustainability, Business Development, Finance & Accounting, Practice Areas, Information Technologies, Communications/Knowledge Management, and other leadership teams to support data-driven initiatives and operational goals.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Management, Architecture, Urban Planning, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Approximately 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in data analytics, data management, operations, or related fields.
- Experience managing and processing large datasets from multiple sources.
- Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.[ER2]
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Power Query, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with Microsoft ecosystem tools including SharePoint, Power Automate, and Teams preferred.
- Familiarity with BIM-related data environments and project information systems preferred.
- Experience with workflow automation and process improvement initiatives preferred.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Interest in applying data to improve operational performance and knowledge sharing across the organization.

PE has a hybrid policy that allows flexibility for our employees in managing their working days and hours to cater to their diverse needs.
Salary Range: $95,000 to $110,000
Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographical work location.
