Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Data Modeller to play a key role in designing, developing, and managing enterprise data models that support reporting, analytics, data integration, and digital transformation initiatives. Working closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, data engineers, and project teams, you will translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality data solutions that drive informed decision-making and support organisational objectives.

As a Data Modeller, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models that ensure data is structured, accessible, and aligned with business needs. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse data requirements, define data standards, and establish robust data structures across enterprise platforms. The role includes creating and maintaining data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage documentation, as well as supporting data integration, migration, and warehousing initiatives. You will work closely with technical teams to enhance data quality, governance, consistency, and performance, while ensuring adherence to data architecture principles and best practices. Additionally, you will contribute to the design of scalable cloud and analytics solutions that support strategic business outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Data Modeller in large enterprise environments.
  • Strong expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling.
  • Hands-on experience with data modelling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, Visio, or similar.
  • Strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational database design principles.
  • Experience working with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or Azure SQL.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling techniques (Star and Snowflake schemas).
  • Experience with data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and source-to-target mapping.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Understanding of data governance, metadata management, data quality, and data lineage principles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and data engineers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
