We are looking for a Data Engineer!

Our client, a leading full-service research agency in Norway, is seeking a talented Backend Data Engineer to join their team. This agency is the largest locally-owned market research company in Norway, specializing in marketing research, opinion polling, consumer insights, digital research, and consumer trend analysis.

As a Backend Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and modernizing existing systems, while also contributing to the development of new platform capabilities. This position is vital to ensuring the scalability, performance, and security of our services.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance existing backend systems.

• Contribute to the development of scalable data pipelines and backend services.

• Ensure adherence to security best practices, including OWASP guidelines.

• Optimize database performance and data processing workflows.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new platform features.

Technologies and Skills:

• Programming: Python.

• Frameworks: FastAPI, Pydantic.

• Data Processing: Pandas.

• Databases: PostgreSQL, Redis.

• Security: OWASP best practices.

• Other: Linux (all code runs on Linux-based environments).
