About the Role
Are you an experienced Data Engineering Manager ready to promote data quality, drive innovation and support an experienced team? Join Bluecurrent and lead the data engineering team in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data practices, pipelines, and infrastructure that enable high-quality analytics, reporting, and actionable business insights.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement data engineering strategies that align with business goals and technical requirements.
- Ensure data quality, timeliness, resilience, cost, governance, and accessibility across the organisation to enable trusted insights and reporting.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data solutions support analytics, insight generation, and informed decision‑making across the organisation.
- Oversee the development, management, and monitoring of data solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the data engineering team.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data engineering processes and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with commercial restrictions, data protection and privacy regulations.
- Support data-centric projects and initiatives by providing data engineering expertise.
What we are looking for
You will ideally have a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. You will also bring previous proven experience and knowledge in:
- data engineering
- data modelling
- data management
- data integration
- data governance
- data quality standards
- data protection regulations
- commercial SaaS platforms
- contemporary data tools and practices
As the Manager, you will bring previous leadership, people management and mentoring experience, leading high performing teams in a technical environment. Your communication and stakeholder management skills will be excellent. You will bring a strong understanding of how well‑engineered data platforms enable insights, analytics, and business value, alongside a problem‑solving and continuous improvement mindset to drive the future of technology in alignment with Bluecurrent’s strategic goals.
