ISS STOXX is actively hiring a Data Engineer for Gurugram location.

ISS STOXX is seeking a Data Engineer to bolster our expertise in the development and deployment of our cutting-edge financial intelligence platform. We are concluding the first phase of a full scale re architecting of our on-prem data estate to a modern componentized set of solutions using GCP technologies. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise and innovative mindset to lead the design, implementation, operation and optimization of our data platform, ensuring its ability to deliver efficient and reliable data services to our global client base. As a critical member of technical team, you will collaborate with cross-functional peers and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure our data pipelines remain at the forefront of investment management technology.

Responsibilities:

• Build, test, deploy and support capabilities and use cases on our expanding data ecosystem

• Ensure the platform's scalability, reliability, and efficiency meet business and client needs

• Focus on continuous delivery and observability

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement the market data roadmap

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance pipeline performance and customer satisfaction

• Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in cloud data management and operation

Qualifications:

• 3+ years' experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud data solutions and implementations.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field

• Experience with the development and deployment of large-scale, complex data pipelines

• Strong knowledge of GCP products across database, serverless, containerization and API

• Experience with serverless solution design and implementation

• Experience coaching and mentoring high-performing teams

• Pragmatic experience using agile to deliver incremental value

• Experience working in a global or multinational team setting

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Proven ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives

• Focus on simplicity, automation and observability

• Expertise in DBT, Python, SQL, Apigee, DataDog.

• Strong knowledge of GCP products, especially BigQuery, CloudRun and CloudSQL

• Experience of micro-batch and near real-time data pipelines

•G LLMs Experience integrating RA and machine learning models into data pipelines, using user decision data for ongoing model training, and of exposing chat interfaces to data assets

• Practical knowledge of using DBT to implement layered transformation flows

• Domain knowledge of financial market data and financial index data models and feeds
