Data Engineer-GCP

Position: Data Engineer – GCP

We are seeking skilled Data Engineers with experience in modern data engineering practices and data modeling. You will leverage your knowledge and experience in programming languages and data engineering tools to create data processing and modeling applications
Key Responsibilities:

• The scope of the project is to migrate the dashboards/ reports from Hadoop to GCP that will require the Hive and Pig jobs to be migrated to Big Query/ Spark.
•  Ensuring data consistency and accuracy through data validation and cleansing techniques
•  Working together with cross-functional teams to identify and address data-related issues
•  GCP & Airflow experience is required.
•  Security & Governance: Role-based access control (RBAC), Data lineage tools
•  Knowledge of database management systems, (e.g., MySQL)
•  Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering - Computer science or related field.
• 5+ years experience as a Data Engineer, specifically with GCP and Airflow
• Proficiency in Python and Pyspark
• Experience of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Keen interest to learn and adapt
