Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Data Engineer to join our central data team as a new college graduate. In this role, you will contribute to our Enterprise Data Platform, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies to build scalable, efficient data pipelines and ensure robust data infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced data engineers and gain hands-on exposure to the latest cloud, data engineering, and analytics technologies.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Fivetran and DBT. Contribute to the data modeling process using Snowflake and ensure scalable, optimized storage and compute. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Work on data ingestion from various source systems, enabling seamless data flows across the organization. Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing data workflows to ensure reliability and performance. Implement best practices for data quality, governance, and security. Participate in CI/CD pipeline development for automated data deployments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python. Strong understanding of database design, data warehousing, and data integration techniques. Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ETL/ELT tools like DBT or Fivetran. Familiarity with Spark or other big data technologies. Knowledge of CI/CD practices and version control systems.
