Skills Required
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark, including PySpark or Scala
- Experience with SQL and data transformation techniques
- Knowledge of ETL tools and data pipeline development
- Experience working with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms
- Strong Azure cloud background
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks or Delta Lake for batch and Spark Structured Streaming ETL pipelines
- Knowledge of data modeling and Spark performance tuning
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with data governance and security practices
- Strong hands-on experience with Unity Catalog
- Experience creating end-to-end environments with catalogs, schemas, tables, materialized views, functions, and volumes
- Experience building SCD1 and SCD2 pipelines for dimension tables
- Experience building change data capture pipelines
- Strong hands-on experience with Lakehouse Federation and creating foreign catalogs for external data sources
- Strong understanding of Databricks partitioning and liquid clustering
