- Develop and scale robust ETL/ELT pipelines for large and complex data volumes using both code-based and visual tools
- Translate business processes into logical data models and contribute to building a central, cross-departmental Enterprise Data Model
- Implement automated data quality checks and monitor data flows from source systems to final data products to ensure full data lineage
- Write clean and performant code in PySpark and SQL to clean, transform, aggregate, and prepare data for further analysis
- Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and business departments to quickly turn requirements into productive data structures
Requirements
- Academic background in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Fluent in English, German is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of Python, especially in a Big Data context with PySpark
- Confident handling of complex SQL queries
- Good understanding of modern data architectures such as Data Lakehouse and distributed systems
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
