Data Engineer (Mid-Level | 6–8+ Years Experience)
About the Role
Synechron is seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer to join our Data Platforms & Engineering practice. In this role, you will design, build, and support scalable data solutions that enable analytics, reporting, regulatory compliance, and AI/ML initiatives across enterprise environments.
You will work with modern cloud-native technologies and industry-leading data platforms, applying strong software engineering principles to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing data products.

Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Delivery
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data products across cloud-based platforms.
Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Build and optimise ELT/ETL processes to support analytical and operational data workloads.
Develop reusable frameworks, components, and automation to improve engineering efficiency and consistency.
Platform Operations & Reliability
Monitor production data pipelines, schedules, integrations, and data quality processes.
Investigate and resolve incidents within agreed service levels and participate in root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability capabilities to improve platform reliability and performance.
Support platform upgrades, enhancements, and operational excellence initiatives.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with Data Architects, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams to deliver business outcomes.
Contribute to solution design discussions and provide recommendations on data architecture, performance, and scalability.
Drive continuous improvement through automation, code quality practices, and engineering best practices.
Promote a culture of ownership, collaboration, and innovation.

Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies.
Required Qualifications
6–8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Data Platform Engineering.
Proven experience building and supporting enterprise-scale data solutions.
Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and distributed data processing environments.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
