Key Responsibilities
- Operations & Support
- Create, update, and maintain operational runbooks and manage platform entitlements and access controls.
- Implement configuration changes to batch pipelines and underlying cloud infrastructure.
- Manually control and manage pipeline executions during planned maintenance windows.
- Perform on-demand operational changes based on guidance from the L3 Data Engineering team.
- Handle user service requests and coordinate non-runbook-based requests with L3 teams.
- Actively participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) testing activities (bi-annual).
- Support development-to-production data synchronization activities.
- Represent the team in weekly Change Management / CAB meetings.
Advanced Troubleshooting & Optimization
- Troubleshoot and optimize complex:
- Perform deep-dive debugging in:
- Design and implement advanced Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) across:
- Resolve complex Alteryx workflow failures, including:
Documentation, Enablement & Leadership
- Author technical design documents and detailed operational runbooks for L2 teams.
- Serve as the final escalation point for L2, providing hands-on guidance and mentoring.
- Lead Deep Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring or systemic failures.
- Drive continuous improvement in operational stability, performance, and support readiness.

Core Competencies
- Strong ability to read, write, and troubleshoot SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Proven experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting cloud-based data platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a production-first mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in small, high-impact teams, fostering collaboration and inclusiveness.
Experience Level
- 5–8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or DataOps roles
- Prior experience in production support, operational ownership, and escalation handling is strongly preferred
