About the role 
We are a fast-growing consultancy in the life science industry, and we are looking for innovative, enthusiastic, and versatile data engineers to join us. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and gain experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

As a Data Engineer your responsibilities include: 

• Designing, building and maintaining data pipelines and data architecture for our clients.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions.
• Engaging in client meetings to gather requirements and provide technical data solutions. 
• Enhancing data quality and supporting data governance best practices.

We offer this position in Spain.

What makes you the best person for this job?  

• Master’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) or another quantitative field.
• Experience with Python and/or other programming languages (e.g., R, Java, C++).
• Experience with developing and maintaining data/ETL flows. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and teamworking skills.
• Knowledge of using a bash- termina, databases, data warehousing, ETL, and data modelling concepts.
• Ability to evaluate complex problems and identify clear, data-driven solutions.
• Curious and investigative mindset with a drive to deepen technical expertise.
• High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to procedures.
•  Proactive and results-oriented attitude, taking initiative and driving work to completion.

Additionally, you might have experience with:

• Collaborative software development using Git, UNIX etc.
• Working with GxP or other regulated data, preferably from the pharmaceutical industry.
• Connecting business and IT by gathering requirements, understanding issues, and offering technical solutions.
• Client-facing roles, such as consulting or similar positions. 
• Pharmaceutical data in the R&D space (clinical, regulatory, quality, safety).
