We’re looking for an experienced Data Cabling Engineer/ Senior Data Comms Engineer with network cable installation experience to support our Helathcare & Education Account. This is a perfect opportunity for someone to join a closely neat team who are ready to welcome someone with new ideas and experiences. The role will primarily be based in client's site in and around London. Experienced engineers will be responsible for carrying out surveys, data cable installs including CMS - racks & cabinets, and fire stopping. They should also be comfortable working across a construction environment. There is a potential for growth and an opportunity to earn more depending on performance after the initial 6 months.
- Supervisory skills and experience (desirable)
- Data cable and containment systems installation
- Reading and interpreting CAD drawings, technical designs, and work to programme schedules
Requirements
- A background in structured cabling
- A minimum of 2 years of field engineering experience in both Cat 5/5e/6/6a & fibre installation, terminating and testing
- Experience in containment, racks, and cabinets
- Some experience in fire stopping ceiling and wall penetrations
- Knowledge & experience setting up and using Lantek III or Fluke DSX 5000 testers
- Be able to work as part of a team and independently
- Highly motivated
- Good communicator
- Carrying out surveys, data cable installs
including racks & cabinets, fault finding, general health & safety
- Be flexible to work nights and weekends
- Should be willing to be DBS/Security checked
- ECS card
