The Data Collector is responsible for conducting on-site property assessments and gathering accurate field data to support commercial estimating, planning, and proposal development. This role plays a critical part in improving the efficiency and accuracy of operational and sales processes by ensuring all property information, tree inventory data, photos, and field notes are properly documented and organized.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working independently in the field, and capable of managing multiple properties and deadlines.

 

 

 

 Key Duties and Responsibilities                                                                                                                                                          
  • Conduct property walkthroughs at commercial and residential sites as assigned
  • Perform tree counts and basic tree identification
  • Take clear and accurate site photographs to document property conditions and tree inventory
  • Collect detailed field notes and operational observations
  • Upload, organize, and maintain all collected data within ArborNote and other company systems
  • Ensure all property information is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with internal estimating, sales, and operations teams regarding site conditions and findings
  • Maintain professionalism and represent the company positively while visiting client properties
  • Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines while performing fieldwork
Qualifications
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Basic knowledge of tree identification preferred, but not required
  • Comfortable using mobile technology, software applications, and data entry systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel locally and conduct field visits throughout assigned territories
  • Ability to walk properties outdoors in various weather conditions

Highschool Diploma or Equivelent 

 

 Physical requirements/Working Conditions                                                                                                                                    

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 15 pounds. Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind.
