Data Architect

As a Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role in helping our customers unlock the full potential of their data. You’ll design and deliver innovative, robust, and scalable data solutions tailored to meet both their current and future business needs. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll collaborate closely with our customers to shape technical roadmaps and architectural blueprints that empower them to thrive in a data-driven world.

With your expertise and forward-thinking approach, you’ll bridge the gap between business goals and technical possibilities, ensuring our customers achieve sustainable success in their data strategies.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Collaborating with customers to understand their business goals, data challenges, and technical requirements, ensuring that the solutions you design align with their long-term objectives.

• Developing architectural blueprints and technical roadmaps that outline the vision for data platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Leading solution implementation, working closely with cross-functional teams—including data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders—to bring your designs to life.

• Staying at the forefront of technology, continuously researching and integrating the latest tools, methodologies, and trends to enhance our customers’ data ecosystems.

• Advocating for best practices in data management, governance, and security, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Mentoring and guiding teams in adopting architectural principles, fostering a culture of excellence in data engineering and analytics.

Experience and Expertise:

• Proven experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.

• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms and tools (e.g., cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure; data warehousing solutions like Snowflake or BigQuery; ETL/ELT tools).

• Strong understanding of database management, data modelling, and big data ecosystems.

Strategic Problem-Solver:

• Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into scalable and future-proof data solutions.

• A knack for identifying opportunities to optimise data flows and systems for better performance and usability.

Collaborative and Communicative:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work closely with customers, stakeholders, and technical teams.

• Experience presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Innovative and Curious:

• A constant learner who stays updated on the latest technologies, tools, and best practices in the data industry.

• Passionate about exploring how cutting-edge innovations can solve real-world data challenges.

A Leader and Mentor:

• Proven ability to guide teams, provide technical leadership, and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.

• Experience mentoring junior colleagues or providing thought leadership in the data community is a plus.
