Job Description:

Job Title: Data Architect - Supply Chain Operations

Data Architect & Data Governance Expert to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures supporting supply chain operations. This role involves data modeling, data pipeline development, data governance, and ensuring data quality and integrity across systems.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in data architecture principles, data governance frameworks, and supply chain analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Architecture & Modeling

• Design and implement scalable, efficient, and secure data architectures to support supply chain and manufacturing analytics.
• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Science, Engineering, and Business) to identify data requirements and design solutions.
• Ensure optimal schema design, query performance, and data integration across systems.

3. Data Governance & Quality

• Lead data governance initiatives, establishing policies, standards, and procedures for data management.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and lineage across the entire data ecosystem.
• Implement data privacy and security controls, especially for PII (Personally Identifiable Information).
• Monitor data quality metrics, identifying and resolving data anomalies and inconsistencies.
• Lead and manage Issue management (for data quality issues) & design audit framework for pipelines and dashboards
• Manage and work with foundations team on centralized Asset center to maintain all RL assets such as KPIs, Metrics, Data definitions, dashboards etc
• Manage Asset Quality scoring based on the data quality & other metrics

4. Collaboration & Technical Leadership

• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Design and implement data models and algorithms that align with business requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data governance.
• Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL).
• Expertise in data warehouse design, implementation, and usage (e.g., Hive)).
• Experience with data pipeline frameworks 
• Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance standards (e.g., PII).
• Proficiency in enabling data pipelines for visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
• Knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing data standards  ● Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in data architecture or a related field (e.g., Certified Data Architect, Certified Analytics Professional).
• Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI).
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
