The Senior Data Architect will lead the design and implementation of data architecture solutions for the Army Training Information System (ATIS). The candidate will create robust data models, manage data integration, and ensure compliance with DoD standards.

We are seeking a skilled Senior Level Data Architect based in Newport News, VA. The Senior Data Architect will lead the design and implementation of data architecture solutions for the Army Training Information System (ATIS). The candidate will create robust data models, manage data integration, and ensure compliance with DoD standards.

Typical Duties:
- Data Architecture Design:
- Develop logical and physical data models to support ATIS objectives.
- Design data solutions for data warehousing, ETL processes, and real-time analytics.
- Integration and Management:
- Oversee data integration between ATIS and other Army systems.
- Implement metadata management and data cataloging tools.
- Security and Compliance:
- Ensure data solutions comply with DoD and RMF standards.
- Implement encryption, masking, and access controls to secure sensitive data.
- Optimization:
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Monitor data pipelines and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL tools.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS or Azure).
Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, integration, and modeling.
- AWS Certified Data Analytics or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related field.
