Data & Analytics Project Lead | SQL, Cloud (AWS/Azure) & BI Tools Expert

Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Data & Analytics Project to lead and manage data and analytics projects. The role involves delivering data-driven solutions by collaborating with clients and internal teams, overseeing data preparation processes, and designing robust data architectures. This position plays a critical role in ensuring successful project delivery and contributing to client business objectives through innovative analytics capabilities.

Software Requirements

Required:

• Strong proficiency in data warehousing, data lakes, and big data platforms (minimum relevant experience).

• Solid SQL skills with hands-on experience on database systems including Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server.

• Experience with data visualization and BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data services, specifically AWS and Azure.

Preferred:

• ​Knowledge in data modeling and governance frameworks.

• Experience with modern data integration and ETL solutions.

Overall Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data analysis, modeling, and solution delivery for client engagements.

• Manage project schedules, track progress, and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering skills and best practices.

• Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams in technical discussions to align solutions with business needs.

• Oversee data collection, cleansing, transformation, and integration to maintain high data quality.

• Design and implement scalable data architectures, models, and integration patterns supportive of analytic requirements.

Technical Skills (By Category)

Programming Languages

• Required: SQL (strong proficiency).

• Preferred: Exposure to scripting or general-purpose languages (Python, R).

Databases/Data Management

• Required:
  Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server experience.
  Understanding of data warehousing and big data technologies.
   

• Preferred:
  Familiarity with data governance.

Cloud Technologies

• Required: AWS and Azure cloud platforms.

Frameworks and Libraries

• Preferred: Experience with ETL and data integration frameworks.

Development Tools and Methodologies

• Required: Agile project management methodologies.

Security Protocols

• Awareness of data security, privacy, and compliance regulations.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 3–5 years experience in data and analytics projects.

• Demonstrated experience managing project delivery and leading teams.

• Experience delivering client-focused data solutions with measurable impact.

• Alternative pathways may include hands-on technical expertise in data engineering or analytics with leadership exposure.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Lead data modeling and analytics efforts, translating client requirements into technical solutions.

• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and ensure quality control.

• Facilitate technical discussions and workshops with clients and team members.

• Mentor junior associates, provide technical guidance, and support skills development.

• Track project risks, issues, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related domain.

• Data and analytics certifications (e.g., AWS Data Analytics, Microsoft Azure Data Engineer) are an advantage.
