Data Analytics Lead
This is a volunteer position and any amount of time is appreciated.
Overview:
The volunteer Data Analytics Lead’s role is critical in delivering precinct-level voter data analysis, creating actionable insights, and developing strategic goals and plans to empower Precinct Committee Officers (PCOs) in their local organizing efforts. The Data Analytics Lead will ensure the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all data projects and translate data into meaningful recommendations for voter engagement, turnout strategies, and precinct development.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management
Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteer data support analysts.
Conduct regular team meetings to track progress and resolve any issues.
Data Analysis & Strategy
Oversee collection, cleaning, and analysis of voter file and turnout data at the precinct level.
Identify key demographic, turnout, and voting pattern trends across precincts.
Develop strategic recommendations based on data to guide PCO activities, including targeting voter outreach, GOTV (Get Out The Vote) plans, and new voter engagement.
Planning & Reporting
Create standardized precinct reports and strategic plans for use by PCOs and local leadership.
Track project outcomes and adjust plans as needed based on findings and results.
Collaboration
Work closely with Leadership, PCOs, and Campaign Leadership to ensure data work aligns with broader goals.
Serve as a point of contact for PCOs needing support, providing guidance and tools to help them act on data insights.
Systems & Tools
Maintain project management systems to track data requests and project status.
Utilize tools such as VAN (Voter Activation Network), Excel, GIS mapping software, and other data analysis platforms.

Proficiency with voter file systems, spreadsheets (Excel), and data visualization tools.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to translate complex data findings into clear, actionable strategies.

Passion for civic engagement, voter participation, and grassroots empowerment.
Understanding of equity in voter outreach and experience analyzing diverse demographic data.

What We Do
The Spokane County Democratic Central Committee (SCDCC), known as the Spokane County Democrats, is a local political organization in Washington state. It focuses on electing Democratic candidates to public office and promoting a platform based on human rights, social justice, and economic equity. The organization works to register voters, endorse candidates, and advocate for policies that benefit the community and ensure equal opportunity for all.
