Data Analytics Intern

SUMMARY:

The Data Analytics Intern will be responsible for supporting the Director of Mining Intelligence in various data engineering tasks. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analytics and engineering and MIS. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Writing SQL queries to extract and manipulate data
• Conducting data analysis to identify trends and insights
• Creating dashboards to visualize data and support decision-making
• Collaborating with team members on data engineering projects
• Utilizing tools such as Python, SQL, Airflow, BigQuery, Redshift, Postgres, and Kafka
• Supporting the team with administrative tasks as needed

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Familiarity with data engineering tools (e.g., Airflow, BigQuery, Redshift, Postgres, Kafka)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
