We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support our healthcare payer operations by analyzing claims, membership, provider, and financial data. This role will play a key part in driving data-driven decision-making across areas such as cost management, quality improvement, network performance, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze healthcare payer data including claims, eligibility, provider, utilization, and financial datasets
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to support business stakeholders (e.g., medical management, finance, network, and operations)
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and cost drivers in healthcare utilization and expenses
  • Support value-based care initiatives, including quality metrics (e.g., HEDIS, STAR ratings) and risk adjustment analysis
  • Perform ad hoc data analysis to answer business questions and guide strategic decisions
  • Collaborate with business units to define requirements and translate them into data solutions
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems
  • Assist with regulatory and compliance reporting (CMS, state, and internal requirements)
  • Partner with IT and data engineering teams on data extraction, transformation, and validation
  • Document methodologies, business definitions, and reporting processes
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Health Informatics, Finance, or related field
  • 2–5+ years of experience in data analysis (healthcare payer environment strongly preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
  • Solid understanding of healthcare payer data (claims, eligibility, provider data)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or Commercial payer data
  • Knowledge of risk adjustment (HCC), HEDIS, STAR ratings, or value-based care models
  • Familiarity with Python, R, or advanced analytics techniques
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data compliance requirements

Salary Range

120,000-150,000
