About the roleData is central to how MUBI grows, innovates, and creates great experiences for our members. We are growing our data analytics team to continue to expand our ability to deliver high-quality insights across the business. The analytics and reporting we provide are used in a variety of contexts; such as determining which films to show on our platform, where to allocate marketing spend or identifying potential improvements to the platform .
As a Data Analyst, you will focus on delivering high-quality reporting and insights, building relationships with internal stakeholders and leveraging those insights to allow teams to enable data-driven decision making across the whole company. By combining your technical ability with domain knowledge and ability to transform data into actionable insights, you can help drive new ways of understanding our platform and audience and unlock meaningful growth. You will work closely with, and learn from, an experienced team of data engineers and scientists.
This is a great opportunity for someone with an established background in data analytics to continue to grow their skills in a supportive, data-driven environment where the work you do will have a meaningful and measurable impact on the growth of the business.
This role is based in London and requires 2-3 days at our MUBI offices in the heart of Soho.
Where you'll have impact:Create and maintain wide range of BI reporting
Perform data analytics to allow us to unlock actionable insights
Work on a large variety of projects; this could be anything from analyzing the results of an A/B test, to measuring the performance of individual film or determining how a audiences are engaging with a particular part of the website
Help build upon our internal data-model, mapping out any new tables or pipelines that need to be built
Collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders across the business. This will include both technical and non-technical audiences
Work within a technically-minded team of data analysts, scientists and engineers
Opportunity to learn more technical data skills; building predictive models, leveraging AI, clustering & segmentation, statistical analysis, data engineering etc
2–3 years of professional experience in a data analytics or similar role.
Strong SQL skills.
Proficiency in Python is also beneficial
Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL systems and modern equivalents like DBT
Experience working with business intelligence software (Looker, Tableau etc.)
Experience and interest in ML/AI is beneficial
Proven track record of communication with internal stakeholders to drive meaningful action from data
An ability to independently structure and formulate solutions to business problems and are able to condense and explain complex systems and ideas into simple-to-understand terms
Adaptability and ability to quickly develop domain expertise
A passion for cinema is a bonus, but not essential
