- Collaborate with Data Architects and Engineers to understand data needs and support architectural decisions.
- Map, profile, and document internal and external data sources for ingestion, transformation, and reporting purposes.
- Elicit and document data and system requirements through workshops, interviews, and analysis of existing systems.
- Support the design of data models, pipelines, and data storage solutions in alignment with architectural standards.
- Analyze system dependencies and contribute to impact assessments for data-driven solutions.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for data integration projects.
- Assist in data lineage tracking, metadata management, and system interface documentation.
- Contribute to data governance initiatives, including data quality assessments and compliance with security standards.
- Create and maintain dashboards to support data quality and reconciliation tasks
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a System Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role in data-intensive environments.
- Strong understanding of data architecture principles and modern data platforms (e.g., cloud data warehouses, data lakes).
- Proven experience in data source discovery, data mapping, and data profiling.
- Ability to write clear documentation including data flow diagrams, ER diagrams, and interface specifications.
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data integration and catalogue tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, collibra or similar).
- Experience with agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and metadata management.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Exposure to BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and understanding of analytics workflows.
- Understanding of API-based system integration and microservices architecture.
- Exposure to Kafka, Confluent or similar mq technologies
